Chronos VR; a place for learning to code for HTC Vive

The HTC Vive is almost here! In fact, I wouldn’t be surprised if an announcement was made this week or next week with official info to get the HTC / Valve lovechild. If you’re looking to create content for virtual reality, but have no idea where to start this may be the option you’re looking for. Chronos VR is a new school with the primary focus on the virtual world.

Those that have been waiting for virtual reality to come to expand from more than just a concept can now rejoice, because VR has been rejuvenated thanks to technology like the HTC Vive, Oculus Rift, and Playstation VR are only going to explode from this point. The next level of 3D developing jobs will be in high demand in 2016.

Chronos VR is a long time dream of Ricardo Parker and he is finally able to become part of the industry that enables others to emerge as content creators on the new platform.

Currently there are a handful of courses available through Chronos VR and discounts are being offered when you sign up for multiple classes. For instance, if you’re totally new to the Unreal Engine you might sign up for the Intro to Unreal Engine 4 and then also take the Unreal Engine 4 for VR to make some real progress right away. If you already have experience with the platform then you might want to sign up for the other 2 courses available; Intro to Autodesk Maya for VR and Intro to ZBRUSH 4R7 for VR.

Courses at Chronos VR aren’t cheap, but the idea is the investment will pay off in the long run. Those at the schoolhouse can’t guarantee job placement for those who learn virtual reality coding, but they have been contact by companies looking for prospects in the field.

For those in the Seattle area interested in a demo at the Chronos VR campus follow this link to sign up for a live demo with the latest VR technology. If you are specifically looking for a demo with the HTC Vive give them a heads up, because I bet they have a limited amount of Vive dev kits. There’s plenty of spaces available today and on through December 18th.

  1. The school is a shame it sounds nice and all but first they are not a licensed school so zbrush and maya are not discounted like it states on there website. the teachers are kids themselves who only know what they do and not how to explain or teach…. dont waiste your money in the you can watch ue4 videos on ue4 or youtube andbyou can learn it just as efective as they teach it… i spent to much money for promises of ricardos dreams and got nothing in return but a fat check…
