HTC already working on the Android 6.0 update for the HTC One M8 GPe and is expecting to release the software update to consumers before the end of October. The HTC One M9 GPe would be the second HTC device to be updated to Android Marshmallow as the update for the Nexus 9 started rolling out earlier this week.
Since the HTC One M7 GPe is over two years old at this point, it will likely only receive critical security updates. If you’re hoping to get Android Marshmallow on the One M7 GPe, your best bet is to scour XDA-Developers for a custom ROM.
If you own the HTC One M8 GPe, be sure to let us know when you finally receive the update on your phone. Android Marshmallow doesn’t look significantly different from Lollipop, but Now on Tap and the new battery improvements should significantly change the way you use the phone.
@athreya7777 M8 GPE will include Marshmallow OS update. Our target is this month. Will advise once we are close to release.
