HTC’s Jason Mackenzie gave us a some peace of mind Friday night when he tweeted to the world that HTC has our back when it comes to the support of the new Android app Android Pay. Google’s updated version of Google Wallet has been rolled out to those who already had Wallet and is available in the Google Play store for a bunch of phones running Android 4.4 and Up.
Google describes Android Pay as “Android Pay is the simple and safe way to pay with your Android phone at over one million store locations across the US (and soon in apps).”
As mentioned above, Android Pay is currently only available in the US, but with the rising popularity across platforms with this type of payment method it’s likely that other places will adapt to allow for secure payments with mobile devices.
