After a recent update to Zoe dubbed 2.0, the developers announced it would be closing its doors to non-HTC devices like Samsung and Apple. HTC wants to bring the heart of creation back to the local mode instead of cloud based and to do this it needs to be done from the hands of a HTC phone holder.
The HTC Zoe community allowed uses to remix other people’s stories from the app or website Zoe.com. This was a nice feature, but not one that I used too often. HTC wants to focus on local content creation which can then be shared to multiple social media sites.
For anyone that has a non-HTC device, today is the last day to download your unique Zoe’s before the server holding said files is turned off. This may also apply to you if you have replaced the first phone you used the Zoe app from or if you’ve done a factory reset and no longer have the original Zoe’s on your phone. Head over to Zoe.com and save those memories before it’s too late and cheers to the next round of HTC Zoe and beyond.
