New HTC One A9 specs leak conflicts with earlier details

Over the past few months we’ve seen quite a few leaks regarding the HTC One A9, aka the HTC Hima Aero. While we’ve known that the phone would have more of a focus on aesthetics than sheer power, a few rumors claimed that the phone would come with a deca-core MediaTek processor, 4GB of RAM and a QHD display. We can’t confirm that there specs are not accurate, but a Tweet from @evleaks (the most trusted source for smartphone leaks) claims that the specs of the HTC Hima Aero will be different than what we’ve been expecting.

Evan claims that HTC’s upcoming HTC One phone will feature a 5-inch FHD display (1080p), Qualcomm’s recently announced Snapdragon 617 processor (more on that in a future post), 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage, microSD expansion slot, a 13 megapixel main camera with optical image stabilization, 4 UltraPixel front-facing camera, 2150 mAh battery and a fingerprint sensor all wrapped up an a 7mm metal body which will be available in six colors.

The HTC One A9 is expected to show up sometime in November. So far, Sprint has been the only US service provider named in previous rumors, but there’s always a chance that the phone will also make its way to the other major US service providers.

  1. The small battery is a point for concern, unless the SD 617 is very power efficient and the software is well optimised, I don’t see how it will impress in that regard. Apparently there is no BoomSound too, something I hope is not true or a trend of things to come.
