HTC One A9 Hima Aero rumor and leak roundup

This has been a busy week for phone leaks and today we are trying to consolidate everything we’ve heard about the upcoming HTC One A9 (Hima Aero). Earlier this week as we were reporting on the mysterious message encoded on the front of an event invite scheduled for next week in China we saw a tweet from someone who apparently knows the inside scoop on HTC’s plan to announce the HTC One A9 in the US. Since everything you read online is true this tweet is about as legit as they come right!

@Ricciolo claims HTC is prep’ing for a multi-city event that will unfold a massive array of marketing to push the sales of the device even dubbed the “HERO” phone.

But another leaker, @evleaks, states the One A9 will be a mid-level phone with some hardware tweaks for those who need a new phone fix for the holidays.

Then, yesterday the same popular leaker shows us the 6 available colors we should expect to see on the Hima Aero.

Specs for the HTC One A9 include some of the latest hardware like the Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 and a slightly redesigned body with rounded edges and a fingerprint scanner on the front. Unfortunately it looks like the BoomSound speakers we expect from HTC have been bumped for this project. We still think there’s a chance this phone could be announced next week in China, but that doesn’t mean it will be exclusive and we will likely also see this in other markets.

Today we saw a very clear photo of the front of the phone and some specs relating to the A9 on the 5″ AMOLED screen. The border around the screen is very dark, almost blended with the darkness of the app background making the bottom area look really big. Plus the phone is tilted away from us again tricking our brains into thinking there is a huge distance from the bottom of the screen to the bottom of the phone.

  1. Must be also new flagship. Most of others they pull new or refreshed devices. Hope this time will be clear. I am ready to buy new one not Samsung not Iphone but HTC.

      1. We will see very brave HTC same day presentation like Nexus line.
        Nexus already on internet very good devices front facing, speakers and big battery.

        I am not for finger scaner. Its sort of for people but later very easy to make it against people.
