For the past few months, HTC has emphatically stated that the commercial version of the HTC Vive would be ready by the end of 2015. While that statement is still true, HTC had revealed that only a “limited number of units” will be making their way to market by the end of 2015 with “more to come in Q1 2016.”
We know that there were many of you hoping to buy the HTC Vive during the holidays, but that will be nearly impossible as the limited number of units that will be built will likely be reserved for developers. The delay of a wide consumer launch is disappointing, but the HTC Vive will still be the Oculus Rift to market by 3-4 months.
@StarFire2258 @JeffGrubb @RealBenGilbert @BenKuchera We'll have a limited number of units by end of the year, with more to come in Q1 2016.
