After months of claiming that the HTC One M9+ would not be making its way to Europe, HTC has announced today that the company has changed its mind. Launch dates and pricing and market availability will be determined and announced by individual service providers in the coming weeks, but we suspect that a SIM unlocked HTC One M9+ will also be available as well.
Many consider the HTC One M9+ to be a slightly better version than the HTC One M9. Improved specs include a larger 5.2-inch QHD display, a fingerprint scanner on the front and a 2 megapixel depth sensor paired with the same 20 megapixel camera found on the HTC One M9. Unfortunately, the M9+ does feature a 2.2GHz MediaTek Helio X10 processor which isn’t quite as powerful as the Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 chip used in the standard M9, but it is slightly more power efficient, giving the M9+ enough battery life to support its 5.2-inch QHD display for 4-5 hours on a single charge.

Since HTC it now bringing the HTC One M9+ to Europe, there’s a slight chance that the phone may also make an appearance in the US market as well. HTC’s new Desire lineup will be saturating the low-end segment of the smartphone market later this summer, but the company truly needs a high-end device to really grab people’s attention if they want to regain market and mind share.
