HTC One ME 9 pictures, specs, launch date and price rumor roundup

Over the past few weeks, new details of the upcoming HTC One ME 9 have surfaced. HTC isn’t expected to unveil the HTC One ME 9 until June, so the rumored specs and images we’re sharing may change when the device is officially unveiled.

The first detail to note is the name of the phone – the HTC One ME 9. The name may actually change since it is a bit confusing. According to @upleaks, the device may make its debut as the HTC One ME. Not the most unique or appealing name, but it is better than One ME 9 – but only by a little. As with the HTC One M9+ and the HTC One E9+, the HTC One ME 9 will not be available in Europe or North America.

As the name of the phone implies, the HTC One ME 9 is a cross between the HTC One M9+ and the HTC One E9+. The rumors claims that the phone will be equipped with a MediaTek MT6795 2.2GHz*8 64Bit processor, 3GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage, 128GB microSd expansion slot, 5.2″ WQHD LCD display, 20 megapixel Toshiba T4KA7 camera sensor on the back, a 4 megapixel UltraPixel or 13 megapixel front-facing camera, stereo BoomSound speakers with Dolby Digital Surround Sound, Bluetooth 4.1, a fingerprint scanner below the display and a 2900 mAh battery. The HTC One ME will feature an aluminum frame that wraps around the front and sides with a soft-touch polycarbonate back. Colors will include Classic Rose Gold, Gold Sepia, Meteor Gray.

The HTC One ME 9 should carry a 3,500 Chinese RMB (roughly $563) when is hit store shelves in Asia this summer.

  1. This is actually a decebt looking phone. And the combination of materials will work well.

But for me, HTC is fading.

I am hoping they are just in between something pretty good and something remarkable.

I’m getting the Samsung S6 this week. After about 8 HTC phones, they just dont do it anymore. In fact, the biggest issue for me is how far some of their software is behind the curve. I use to love all HTC core apps, now I use mostly Google apps. Email, music, calender, browser, keyboard, messeging etc. The only thing I still live is Blinkfeed. But Google news would replace it if it had a home screen option.

Hopefully see you in a year or two HTC.
