The HTC One M8 Eye is the latest Android phone in HTC’s lineup to be updated to Android 5.0. The lollipop update is making its way to handset owners in India, but we expect other markets to light up within the next week or two. The 4.30.720.4 build is a hefty 578.7 MB and includes Android Lollipop along with an update to HTC Sense which brings enhancements to the lock screen, notification panels, settings menu and much more. The HTC One M8 Eye update also allows the phone to take advantage of all the recent HTC app updates which have been pushed out through the Play Store.
You can wait around for a day or two for HTC to push the Android 5.0 update to your HTC One M8 Eye, or you can manually trigger the update by pinging HTC’s servers by going to Settings > About phone, Software updates > Check now. The update will take at least 20 minutes to download and install, so make sure your phone is plugged in or has at least a 50% charge before getting started.
Hope you enjoy the Lollipop update!
