We’ve seen how the HTC One M9’s camera stacks up against the HTC Re, but we thought you’d also enjoy a comparison between the HTC One M9 and last year’s HTC One M8. While the 20 megapixel camera on the M9 is very close the 16 megapixel camera of the Re. the M8’s 4 UltraPixel camera only has one fifth of the pixels available on the One M9.
Keep in mind, more megapixels doesn’t always mean better pictures. The HTC One M8 shows that is can easily outperform the HTC One M9 in low light situations, but if you’re planning to take pictures during the day or in well-lit areas, the HTC One M9’s camera is a stellar performer.

Is it possible that you include a Butterfly 2 in the test too or it’s hard to get at your place?
Looks like the lens on the M8 is dirty and hence foggier looking than the M9.
Nice post. Thanks to share very interesting blog. i truly love this well written and informative post.!! Good work.!! recording app
The lens on the m8 is most def dirty! M8 Camera is better than that..You need to clean the lens with toothpaste because the m8 lens top protective layer gets scratched..Happens on all m8 devices….toothpaste removes protective coat and gets better pictures…
Dude, you should’ve clean up your camera lenses on M8… even camera on the phone from 2009 takes better pictures than this… M8 is taking good pictures, this is just your dirty camera lenses.
