Following the unveiling of the HTC One M9+ and HTC One E9+ in China, the company has decided to take its new MediaTek-powered smartphones to India as well.
The HTC One M9+ features the same overall design of the HTC One M9 with the addition of a multi-directional fingerprint scanner below the display and a 20 megapixel DuoCamera on the back. Specs on the HTC One M9+ include 5.2-inch QHD LCD display, octa-core MediaTek MT6795T processor, 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage and the same UltraPixel sensor found on the HTC One M9. The HTC One M9+ will be available in India starting on May 3 for ₹52,500.
If the HTC One M9+ isn’t quite big enough, the HTC One E9+ offers a 5.5-inch quad HTC display paired with a 64-bit, octa-core 2GHz MT6795M processor, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage with microSD expansion up to 128GB, 2,800 mAh battery, 13 megapixel main camera, UltraPixel front-facing camera, BoomSound front-facing stereo speakers all wrapped up in a 7.49mm-thick polycarbonate body. Color options for the HTC One E9+ include Meteor Grey, Gold Sepia and Rose Gold. The HTC One E9+ is expected to be significantly cheaper than the HTC One M9+ when it hits store shelves in India during the second half of May.
Both the HTC One M9+ and One E9+ are not expected to make their way to Europe or North America, but don’t be surprised if the devices show up in more markets across Asia over the next month or two.
