Our HTC One M9 review covers the high and low points of the HTC One M9’s camera, but we thought it would be fun to take HTC’s new flagship out for a head-to-head shootout with the HTC Re. The HTC One M9 is equipped with a 20.1 megapixel BSI sensor from Toshiba with auto-focus, BSI sensor, f/2.2, 27.8mm lens while the HTC Re comes with a 16MP Sony CMOS sensor with a 146 degree super wide angle lens with f2.8 aperture.
The HTC One M9 does a much better job at reproducing assurance color tones and focusing in on close objects, but the HTC Re gets a few added points for its wide angle lens which makes the pictures look just a little more interesting. While both perform admirably with good lighting, neither the HTC One M9 nor the HTC Re have anything to brag about when lighting conditions aren’t optimal.
Take a look at our sample pictures below and let us know what you think. HTC One M9 (left), HTC Re (right).
are the ONE shots highest resolution, and try 16×9 format?
