The Lollipop update for the T-Mobile HTC One (M8) is now available for download. The Android 5.0 update was originally scheduled to launch yesterday, but it seems like someone at T-Mobile forgot to flip the switch. The 4.20.531.4 software build for the T-Mobile HTC One (M8) weighs in at 632.7MB and includes all the new Android Lollipop goodies including lock screen notifications, an updated notification panel with ART runtime which will speed up app performance slightly on the phone.
If your T-Mobile HTC One (M8) hasn’t yet prompted you to download the Android 5.0 update today, go to Settings > About > Software updates and tapping the Check Now button at the bottom of the screen to ping the download servers manually. From start to finish, the update takes roughly 30 minutes to download and install.
