Now that the official Android 5.0 Lollipop code is being pushed to older Nexus devices, it looks like the update for HTC’s Google Play Edition devices is nearing. We don’t know which device will be the first to get a taste of Lollipop, but HTC’s @moversi has confirmed on Twitter that the company is planning to release the first update starting next week.
We’re still not sure how HTC will be integrating Android 5.0 and HTC Sense 6, but owners of HTC’s Google Play Edition phones will be treated to a completely stock experience with a few customer tweaks to ensure the extra hardware features on the phone work properly with the software.

Definitely looking forward to being able to interact with notifications on the lock screen. I was also wondering, with the face tracking technology on the selfie cam, would the background face unlock work even better than on other handsets???
