With the launch of the HTC Desire Eye and HTC RE behind us, we can now focus on the device we’ve really been waiting for – the HTC Nexus 9. A picture of the Google-commissioned tablet hit the web earlier this week and we’re now hearing that the device will be unveiled to the world on October 15. Paul O’Brien (who originally shared the October 16th Nexus 9 launch date) amended the date to October 15 yesterday afternoon on Twitter and another source claims the Nexus 9 will hit online and retail store shelves as early as November 3 for $399.
The price is quite a bit higher than the $229 Google is charging for the current Nexus 7, but the rumored specs of the HTC Nexus 9 indicate Google and HTC are building a premium tablet intended to stands out from the dozens of “me too” $200 Android tablets currently on the market. The Nexus 9 tablet is expected to have a 8.9-inch 64Bit Tegra processor, 4GB RAM, NFC, 1.6 megapixel font-facing camera and an 8 megapixel camera around the back.

Massive Attack HTC.
They’re doing it again! They always screwup by underspecing some aspect of the device. Why would you make a tablet at this late entry date and put an 8 megapixel camera on the back and a weak 1.6 in the front? They have not learned their lesson yet with that ultra pixel nonsense.
