The launch window for the HTC Nexus 9 has changed several times over the past few months, but thanks to a new rumor, we finally have a specific date that we can circle on our calendar. Legal documents from NVIDIA suggested HTC Nexus 9 tablet would be available before the end of September, but Paul O’Brien from MoDaCo shared details from an anonymous source the launch event for the tablet will be held October 16th.
A second Tweet was sent out to clarify given date does not imply that the HTC Nexus 9 will be available to purchase on October 16th. Sales of the 2013 Nexus tablet opened up a week after the deice was unveiled, but the 2012 model did have a two and a half week gap between its announcement and retail dates.
While we’ve heard a lot about the HTC Nexus 9’s specs and seen pictures of the tablet’s keyboard cover, we’re still in the dark when it comes to the tablets design. Most rumors have positioned the Nexus 9 as being a premium tablet, so it wouldn’t be surprising if it included front-facing speakers and unibody aluminum casing.
