The HTC Lock Screen is the latest HTC Sense 6 app to be pulled de-coupled form HTC’s customer Android experience and placed in the Google Play store. Placing the HTC Lock Screen app in Google play will allow HTC to push out updates and bug fixes to all of its HTC Sense 6 devices without having to go through a long and tedious carrier testing and rollout. While HTC has over 50 apps listed in Google Play, most of them are region specific keyboard and voice recognition apps.
Based on the app comments and reviews, it looks like a few people have experienced a few boot-loop issues when the app was installed, but we have not seen bugs on our four Sense 6 devices the apps has been installed on. If the Sense 6 Lock Screen app hasn’t automatically been installed on yuor your device, you can find it on the Play Store and install it manually.
