A couple days ago HTC announced a limited edition version of the HTC One M8 designed by Singapore design firm PHUNK Studio. Over their 20 years in business, PHUNK has been involved with projects for Rolling Stone, NIKE, MTV, Levi’s and now with HTC. This limited edition HTC One M8 offers a sneak peek into an exhibition dubbed, “Wonderment” that will be viewed this year at various locations throughout Japan, Singapore, and Hong Kong. Only 64 of the PHUNK edition models were produced for public release and some or maybe all of them are being given away through various tech websites to promote the upcoming exhibition. The design was etched onto two flavors of the HTC One M8; glacial silver and amber gold.

We know that The Verge has already closed their giveaway (lasted only two days) and we look forward to other mentioned sites to host their giveaways. Sadly, HTC Source was not included in this round, but we’d love to get a unique HTC phone to giveaway to our readers. The version that was designed on is the unlocked global model, so it will work just about anywhere.
HTC teamed up with PHUNK as part of the “Here’s to Creativity” initiative which even before it had an official name HTC has kept up with over the years with nearly a dozen special edition phones. You can watch more about how the partnership between HTC and PHUNK came together to create the sweet design for the HTC One M8.

Last year HTC partnered with clothing designer, David Koma before Fashion Week and came up with a special design for the HTC One mini. Before that and in between we have seen other creative inspirations come from HTC like the fender edition HTC myTouch, HTC One X cushnie et ochs, 18 carat gold plated HTC One M7, Harmon/Kardon edition HTC One M8, and more.
