Over the years, HTC has released a music phone, a fashion phone and even three Facebook phones, so we’re not too surprised to hear that HTC may be working on ultimate “selfie” phone. According to @evleaks, the HTC Eye will be heading to AT&T in the fourth quarter of 2014. While no specs are given for the HTC Eye, the phone is being positioned as the ultimate “selfie” phone – implying that it will have a front-facing camera that’s even better than the 5 megapixel one that’s mounted on the HTC One (M8) and HTC Desire 816.
Most tech journalists are typically focus on high-resolution displays and the latest processors, but the general public simply wants something that will serve them well and can work as a decent camera. If HTC can create a mid-range phone that delivers the best selfie experience around, it would be a success. Let’s just home HTC figures out how to market the darn thing and convince people that they need the ultimate “selfie” phone from HTC.
