Those who purchased the Unlocked and Developer Edition HTC One (M8) in the U.S. have a new update which have be downloaded and installed. The 1.54.1540.9 build is a hefty 117.98MB, but comes with improvements to the camera and gallery and finally brings Extreme Power Saver which allows the phone last up to 15 hours on a 5% charge. Most HTC One (M8) owners should expect to get a full day’s use out of the phone without needed a recharge, but Extreme Power Saver should come in handy when you find yourself out and about and the power on your phone drops below 10%.
If you have not yet received the update on your Unlocked or Developer Edition HTC One (M8), you can try to manually download it by going to Settings > About > Software updates > Check now. As always, be sure your phone has at least a 50% charge since you don’t want your phone to die while the update is installing.
