Is there anyone out there that has never taken a selfie? Even before the popular rise of the smartphone, people were taking photos of themselves in front of the mirror with whatever camera they had. Smartphones and social networks have taken the title “selfie” and blasted it all over the net to the point that HTC couldn’t avoid acknowledging it when labeling the mode for the front camera on the HTC One M8 with HTC Sense 6.0.
At the beginning of the month, HTC rolled out a contest asking participants to share a Captain America inspired selfie on Facebook and Twitter. The contest ends on May 15th and is open to anyone 18 or older located in North America. A total of 14 limited edition “S.H.I.E.L.D Edition” HTC One M8’s will be given away after the drawings on or around the 15th of this month. This limited edition model will have the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. logo and model release number etched into the beautifully finished aluminum casing.

While you are on HTC’s Captain America page be sure to download one or all of the special wallpapers from the movie Captain America. The wallpapers have been available for some time now, but HTC is capitalizing on this moment with a large blockbuster film to share custom media with HTC fans.
