HTC has yet to announce the rumored M8 mini, but news is spreading that the phone may lack a few key Sense 6 software features that make the HTC One (M8) quite useful. According to @evleaks, Sense 6 on the HTC M8 mini will not sport Zoe (which captures video and images simultaneously), Fitbit integration for tracking step without the need for a dedicated FitBit step tracker, Motion Launch gestures, and Pan 360 (photosphere) photos.
Since the Motion Launch gestures and Fitbit integration we’ve seen on the HTC One (M8) are tied to the phone’s Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor, we can see why those features may be left out, but dropping Pan 360 and Zoe doesn’t make sense since those features have been implemented on other HTC devices which do not use the Snapdragon 801. We’d like to remind you that we’re classifying this information as a rumor until HTC officially announces the HTC M8 mini (aka the HTC One mini 2).
