The HTC Nexus 8 rumors that have been floating around for a few months received a big dose of credibility yesterday thanks to a “project device/htc/flounder/” reference in the AOSP Android 4.4.3 changelog.
The HTC Flounder reference doesn’t mean much on its own, but when you consider that Google has used fish names for Nexus tablet code names in the past it’s not too hard to see how the rumored HTC Nexus 8 comes into the picture. HTC’s Nexus tablet rumors have suggested a premium tablet experience with a possible Q3 launch.
We still use our HTC Flyer from time to time, but it will be nice to see what an HTC Nexus 8 will offer since HTC has been out of the tablet game for so long.
