Following the news that the HTC Desire 8 will be unveiled on February 24th, @LlabTooFeR has revealed a few more specs for the upcoming phone. It does not look like the HTC Desire 8 will be competing directly with HTC’s flagship One series devices, but the handset will be a serious contender when matched up against mid-range devices from Sony, Samsung and LG.
According to @LlabTooFeR, the HTC Desire 8 will feature a MSM8926 quad-core 1.2 Ghz Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor with 1GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage, microSD card expansion slot, 5.5-inch 720p display, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.0, Android 4.4.2 (KitKat), HTC Sense 6.0 and on-screen buttons. The device will have a few variants which feature support for AT&T and Sprint’s networks here in the US and other GSM, UMTS and LTE networks across the globe.
Now if we could just get a few more details about that other colorful HTC Desire phone which showed up a few weeks back…

Nothing special, I was hoping for a MediaTek SoC octa-core Cortex-A7 at 2GhZ and also for at least 1.5GB of RAM. This phone will have a hard time at Chinese market compared to Zopo and other Chinese phones.
