Over the past two years, HTC has been a huge fan of color diversity in its product lineup. While the multi-colored HTC 8S and the bright blue or yellow HTC 8X were available from day one, HTC took its time to introduce us to the red, blue and gold versions of last year’s flagship HTC One. This time, things may be a bit different. According to @shen_ye we could see four color options (#bebebe, #33b5e5, #cc0000 and #414141) for the HTC M8 when the handset goes on sale this spring. For the curious among you, the color codes referenced are nearly identical to the four color options of the HTC One pictures above.
Rumor has is that HTC did originally plan on launching the HTC One in silver, gray and red, but manufacturing issue caused shortages which forces HTC to cut the red option from the lineup. If the HTC M8 does feature an aluminum chassis similar to that of the HTC One, we’re assuming that they’ve been able to work the kinks out of the system to ensure there is enough supply to offer the HTC M8 in multiple colors at launch.
The M8 may be released with 4 colours at launch.
