When Bloomberg starts posting stories about the HTC M8 citing “a person with direct knowledge of the plans,” you know things are bound to get interesting. According to Bloomberg’s report, the HTC M8 will be named the HTC One, following the recent trend rather than adding on additional numbers of letters after the product name. Based on conversations we’ve had with HTC, this naming scheme does not feel out of place.
Bloomberg does say that the new HTC One will features a display that’s at least 5-inches in size along with “Qualcomm Inc.’s later Snapdragon processor,” but the highlight is the reference to an improved UltraPixel twin-sensor rear camera for “better focus, depth of field and image quality” inside a chassis that similar to the 2013 HTC One. The twin-sensor rear camera notion fits in perfectly with the HTC M8 multiple lens camera rumor and has us rethinking our fingerprint scanner analysis of the leaked HTC M8 images from early November.
Since these new details are coming from Bloomberg, they do have quite a bit more credibility that some of the other HTC M8 rumors, but there’s always the chance that the report is wrong and the rumored specs don’t pan out.

Oh No! Not another ONE. Too confusing! Please lord give me a new name!
OK so it’s not a new phone, just an upgrade of the original ONE. OK I get it.
Not sure if I like it.
