The Android 4.3 update is currently making its way to HTC One handsets in North America, but it looks like a new update may not be far behind. HTC ROM developer mike1986 has managed to get his hands on the latest version of Sense 5.5 and has shared details of the newest features and more than a dozen screenshots.
While the HTC One is the company’s flagship device, Sense 5.5 will most likely make its debut on the HTC One max which is expected to be unveiled sometime next week. We don’t know when the HTC One will be updated with Sense 5.5, but we’re hoping the latest Sense features will be baked into the handset’s 4.4 update not long after Google unveils the latest version of Android.
New HTC Sense 5.5 features
- “Dual capture” and “Panorama+” camera mode options
- Tweaked recent apps card view
- Updated keyboard with hundreds of new emoticons
- Quick Settings customization panel
- BlinkFeed on/off toggle
- New HTC BlinkFeed categories with custom topics tab
- Minor changes to alarm clock.
