Google is getting mighty generous these days with extra storage through one of its biggest cloud services and we just found out that users of the HTC One getting the Android 4.3 update along with HTC Sense 5.5 will also get an offer for 25 GB of free Google Drive storage for 2 years.
Once the Android 4.3 update has applied to your HTC One simply open the Google Drive app and you should get a prompt to accept the offer for 25 GB of additional storage to your Google account. The offer will only be available until January 1, 2014 so we urge you to open that app to avoid missing out. The two year period will begin once the offer has been redeemed.
Sadly, those who paid full price for the developer version of the HTC One are excluded from the offer due to the unlocked bootloader.
Further more, those who are holding out for the HTC One max will be happy to find 50 GB’s of free storage with Google Drive once the app is opened (as long as it is before the offer deadline).
