Sprint’s HTC EVO 4G LTE customer have something to celebrate – HTC is currently working on the handset’s Android 4.3 update with Sense 5 and plans on releasing it before the end of the year. The Sprint HTC One was the first carrier branded phone in the US to receive the Android 4.3 update, so we’re not a bit surprised to hear that Sprint’s EVO 4G LTE will be the first 2012 phone to get the update as well. Sprint has always had a very good track record to pushing out updates to its phones. While the AT&T HTC One X and EVO 4G LTE are essentially the same device, Sprint’s phone was updated to Android 4.1 months before AT&T was able to push out the update to the One X.
We’re not sure when the AT&T HTC One update will be pushed out, but we’re still hoping that it’ll be here before January 1st, 2014 rolls around.
