UPDATE: Jason Mackenzie followed through with his promise about the Verizon HTC One, but unfortunately the news that came back from Verizon means our beloved manufacturer needs to make some software modifications and then re-test with Verizon. HTC is forecasting another month before the update can hit Verizon airwaves granted big red approves that changes made meet their requirements. We think HTC has done a pretty good job rolling out Android 4.3 and what has been good enough for the other major carriers in the US didn’t meet Verizon’s expectations. Sorry folks!
@htc One Vz customers: we need more time to spin new SW & re-test 4.3 update. Approx a month. Appreciate your patience as we work to deliver

After the first three carriers in the United States received the Android 4.3 update on the HTC One and the roll out starting in various areas across the world, Verizon Wireless customers are starting to grow weary.
The HTC One came to Verizon a few months after the national introduction on the major carriers and when it did arrive it had Android 4.2.2 loaded on it. HTC had already begun working with the other carriers to deploy Android 4.3 and naturally the Verizon edition is on the tail of the update wagon.
Fans on big red have been tweeting HTC execs looking for a timeline and the President of HTC America, Jason Mackenzie is now telling fans details will be made public on Monday. Of course this is not implying the Android update will begin rolling out tomorrow just simply a progress update on when to expect the software to be available to Verizon customers.
@jackh0lt working it. Expect a status update on Monday.

Since the Verizon HTC One model debuted with Android 4.2 the look and feel of things will remain pretty much the same. The biggest visible jump for users in the US was from the models on other carriers. There’s one change that Verizon HTC One users could see that would really make the Android 4.3 update worth the fuss and that is if the update included HTC Sense 5.5. So far we’ve only seen that version released outside of the US and we’re not sure HTC and Verizon could pull that off so quickly. Time will tell so cheers to Monday!
