When the HTC Desire 601 was unveiled earlier this week, we were not surprised that HTC did not announce the US availability of the phone. The phone itself is a half step below the HTC One mini which is now available on AT&T, but the HTC Desire family of phones has not had a huge present here in the US. But that could change.
According to @evleaks, the HTC Desire 601 may be headed to Virgin Mobile USA, which may be a perfect fit. Here in the US, Virgin Mobile operated as a pre-paid service provider which sell mid-range or older phones since the devices are not subsidized with two-year contracts. We do not know what the price of the HTC Desire 601 will be on Virgin Mobile, but we suspect it will undercut the Samsung Galaxy S III which is currently listed at $340. We’ll keep you updated on the firnal price and launch date once more details are revealed.
HTC Desire 601 destined for Virgin Mobile USA.
