Google has announced Android 4.3 and is currently in the process of rolling out the update to its Nexus devices. While the HTC One Google Play Edition may be running stock(ish) Android, it’s upgrade will not be coming today. Google may be selling the phone to its customers directly through the Google Play store, but software updates will be pushed out to the phone from HTC.

Why HTC won’t release an app or something that turns sense 5 edition into google edition? I don’t want third party methods to do anything with my phone.
Because it’s not as simple as just having an app. Running stock Android and HTC’s Sense 5 on the same device would require dual-booting functionality.
Got 4.3 OTA update notice on my Play Edition HTC One a few minutes ago. Just finished the update.
