After releasing the Android 4.2.2 update for the HTC One in Asia and Northern Europe a few weeks back, the update is finally making its way to handsets in the UK and the rest of Europe. HTC One owners in the UK (unbranded, Orange, Vodafone & 3), Ireland, Austria, Switzerland, Spain, Germany, France, Italy, Ukraine and Turkey claim to have downloaded the Android 4.2.2 update and HTC UK has also confirmed via twitter that the update is available. Those who have not yet received the update can ping HTC’s servers manually by going to Settings > About > Software Updates > Check now.
Like the other Android 4.2.2 updates for the HTC One, users can expect launcher bar enhancements, a widget lock screen style, home button behavior modification (remove black menu bar from screen), ability to display battery level percentage in the notification bar, quick settings, 6 new Video Highlights themes, improved Zoe file management and more.
Let us know in the comments how you’re enjoying the Android 4.2.2 update on your HTC One.
