Along the plethora of new features crammed into the HTC One, most people are clueless about the new two dual-membrane microphones inside the device. We covered this HTC One feature in early March, but we thought we’d share a real-world example of how this technology actually works. Maik Reifschneider has posted a YouTube video which features the HTC One and Samsung Galaxy S III recording video at a concert.
The audio from the HTC One isn’t necessarily amazing, but it’s nearly a hundred times better than what is recorded by the Samsung Galaxy S III. We suggest you keep your computer or smartphone’s volume pretty low while watching the video. We don’t want Samsung’s inferior audio recording capabilities do damage your equipment.
Adding dual-membrane microphones to the HTC One is certainly a feature which benefits consumers, but it’s a value-add which will be very hard for HTC to show off. If you were in HTC’s shoes, how would you promote the HTC One’s enhanced audio recording capabilities?
just show this video on a TV or Youtube Ad, but with less gap in between the two videos so as to save on advertising dollars and to make sure people don’t change channels.
I love the non distortion on the HTC.. wow, karaoke nights get recorded excellent.. seriously, that’s pretty awesome..
