Leaks and rumors of the HTC M7 always get a lot of attention around here, but we always appreciate the subtle hints and teases that HTC throws out as well. This afternoon, HTC put up an interesting infographic which depicts the history of photography and how cameras have evolved since 1839. Since the details were put together by HTC, you’d expect some blatant self-promotion built in. HTC manages to fit itself into the story line four times, but the fun starts when HTC start poking fun at Apple and Nokia towards the end.
But the final line is the tease we’ve all been waiting for: “HTC kicks off a new sound and camera experience in 2013.”
While HTC is probably not going to be revealing anything else on the subject before the February 19th unveiling of the HTC M7, we have a feeling that HTC may be referring to the Ultrapixels imaging sensor rumor which we covered earlier today. The Ultrapixels imaging sensor is said to be made up of three 4.3-megapixel sensor layers which intelligently merge all the data to generate an image which is crisper and clearer. Obviously, the technology is merely a rumor for now, but HTC’s little tease gives us hope that we could see something new and exciting with the unveiling of the M7 on February 19th.
P.S. Can anyone stop the graphic mistake in HTC’s infographic?
