HTC released their raw Q4 earning results and the news still isn’t good for the Taiwanese company. The revenue numbers for HTC continue to dwindle and in Q4 of 2012 they received a meager $34 million (NT$1 billion) net income before taxes. HTC produced a 2.1 billion (NT$60 billion) revenue in the final quarter of 2012 which is down 41% from last year’s numbers.
In 2013, HTC is hoping to right the ship by allocating more money to Marketing and releasing a new powerhouse device later this year. It will be interesting to see if a new flagship device and change in strategy will be enough to HTC regain traction in the mobile market.
Do you think HTC will right the ship in 2013? Are you excited about their new upcoming devices? Tell us your thoughts in the comments below.
Marketing is the key. HTC makes good devices but fewer people know about them in the rest of the world. Everyone talks about samsung and apple and less people usually talk about HTC which means the advertisement apple and samsung do works. I know a lot of samsung customers didn’t even know about HTC one series until they bought the SIII and also they like HTC devices more but it is usually too late at that point.
HTC should invest more to marketing strategy. If HTC now spend more to marketing, consumer doesnt know what is the ‘key-performance’ with all product from HTC.
Consumer familiar with Samsung and Apple because both of them more invest in marketing.
If HTC NOT spend more to marketing, consumer doesnt know what is the ‘key-performance’ with all product from HTC.
My wife still has aTitan and i use to have the one X … They are very good products. .. nice looking too.
I just don’t understand what is going wrong. … People just don’t buy them,
Since Samsung s S2 which was a great success …i think people now regard Samsung like being the leading quality android product.
Or you buy an Apple
Hope they decide to make more marketing. ..commercials are very important concerning a product that make people buy just to try it
