When we first heard of the HTC Accord and HTC Zenith, we knew that they were code names which would eventually change. According to the latest rumors going around, the two devices will now be names the HTC 8S and HTC 8X. The only problem is, we don’t know which is which. Late last week, news broke that the HTC Accord would be names the HTC 8X, but since the specs of the HTC Zenith are more in line with those of the HTC One X, we’re going to assume that the source of the information simply got the device names mixed up.
If that’s the case, we expect we’ll son hear that the HTC Rio (the entry-level Windows Phone 8 device from HTC) will launch as the HTC 8V – matching up with the naming convention HTC has presented for its 2012 HTC One series.
No new details about any of the devices have been released, but we expect an onslaught of pictures and leaks as we get closer to the official announcement. Microsoft and Nokia are set to officially launch Windows phone 8 on September 5th, so we’re sure HTC will be making some kind of an announcement soon after.
