We’re know for a while that HTC has been working on a new lineup of Windows Phone 8 devices, but we finally have some concrete evidence to go off of. A device named HTC 6990LVW received its Bluetooth certification on August 13th and is expected to launch with support for Verizon’s 4G LTE network.
No more details are currently available for the HTC 6990LVW, but if rumors of the HTC Accord and HTC Zenith are correct, we could be looking at a device with a 4.3 to4.7-inch 720p Super LCD 2 display, 8mp camera with 1080p video capture and a dual or quad-core Qualcomm S4 processor.
Nokia’s close relationship with Microsoft does give them an advantage when it comes to Windows Phone 8, but HTC has a solid record of producing mobile devices powered by Microsoft’s OS. Let’s just hope that Verizon keeps its mouth shut and allows HTC to deliver the phone that they think will actually sell.
