In order to combat the recent launch of the Samsung Galaxy S III, AT&T and HTC may soon reduce the on-contract price of the HTC One X to just $99.99. The new price for the HTC One X would be a 50 percent reduction on its current $199.99 price tag, making it a direct price competitor to AT&T’s recently launched Motorola Atrix HD which features a generic design, smaller display and inferior camera technology.
A reduced price on the HTC One X would certainly increase handset sales, but it may infuriate customers who already paid the $199.99 price at launch. We’re not sure if the sales of the T-Mobile HTC One S and Sprint HTC EVO 4G LTE are suffering due to the launch of the Samsung Galaxy S III, but it would e nice if we saw more price reductions form other carriers for their HTC handsets.
We know many of you are HTC fans, but do you think a $100 HTC One X is more appealing than a $200 Samsung Galaxy S III?
