The Verizon DROID Incredible 4G LTE by HTC is official! Verizon has just sent out a press release, giving us a detailed look at the official spec of the phone for the very first time – though most of the rumored specs were spot on. The DROID Incredible 4G LTE by HTC will feature 4-inch qHD Super LCD display with Corning Gorilla Glass, a 1.2 GHz dual-core Qualcomm S4 processor, an 8 megapixel camera with a BSI imaging sensor and 28mm lens, ImageSense technology 1080p video recording, front-facing VGA camera, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage, 1700 mAh battery, NFC, Beats Audio and support for Verizon’s blazing fast LTE network.
Verizon isn’t quite ready to reveal the price an launch date for the HTC DROID Incredible 4G LTE, but the press release does say that the phone will be available within the coming weeks. We’ve heard rumors of a $299 price point, but we simply don’t see why anyone would be willing to pay that much for the DROID Incredible 4G LTE when AT&T is offering the HTC One X for $199.99.

The specs on this phone are about the same as as the HTC Rezound, which has a 4.3-inch screen, a dual 1.5 gz processor and the same screen-resolution and camera specs. The only difference I see is that this phone has NFC, comes with ICS out of the box (Rezound getting it soon) and has a Snapdragon S4 processor, instead of the Snapdragon S3 the Rezound has. The Rezound is going for $99, the Incredible 4G is $299? Hmm.
The screen resolution on the Incredible 4G LTE is actually lower since the rezound sports a 720p HD display.
Actually, the resolution is the same. The pixel density is lower.
HTC Rezound: 4.3-inch 720p display = 341.54 PPI
HTC DROID Incredible 4G LTE” 4-inch qHD display = 275.36 PPI

I’m still miffed that this is not the One X. THAT is the phone Verizon should be releasing in a few weeks.
I’ve had the Incredible 2 for about 8 months and it has been nothing short of perfect. I immeditely rooted it and replaced the stock bloat with CM7. Ever since, I’ve ran overclocked at 1.3ghz and never received less than 24 hours of battery (unless playing games for longer than 30 min).
The best part about the DINC2 is the form factor. I’m not sure why phone makers think all consumers want to carry a mini-tablet in their pockets. 4″ is perfect in my opinion. So very very glad to see the new 4g model maintains this form-factor while adding market standard upgrades to a dual-core and 1080p recording.
I for one am very excited. Now if only we could get a release date. I’ll be stealing my sister’s upgrade for this (again)
I also have a dinc2, and I agree. Once you flash CM on it, it feels flawless and never slows down, and the battery life is amazing too. In my opinion, the incredible 2 was one of the most overlooked phones of the last generation.
