The HTC One is finally here! This week, the HTC One X, HTC One S and HTC One V can be purchased across Europe from independent retailers or from your favorite service provider. If you’ve been keeping up with all the HTC news since the HTC One family of phones was unveiled at Mobile World Congress a little more than one month ago, you probably know which phone will suit you best.
While I love the mind-bending specs crammed inside the HTC One X, I’ve never been a big fan of large phones. Personally, the HTC One S is the right choice for me, though I wish it has a 720p Super LCD display like the HTC One X.
As we expected, the first wave of HTC One reviews were published this morning, giving us a good look at what the phones have to offer and how they stack up against the competition. The verdict? The HTC One X is the clear winner for anyone who must have the best Android phone ever made. The large HD display coupled with the NVIDIA Tegra 3 quad-core processor make the HTC One X the new standard to beat in the smartphone sector. While the HTC One S may not have the best specs in the world, the Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor gives the phone adequate power to compete head-to head with the One X. The main drawback of the One S when compared to the One X is the handset’s pentile display which fails to represent colors with true accuracy, but the handset’s seemingly small 1650 mAh battery gives it enough life to last a full day even under heavy use.
But the big winner across the board is the new ImageSense technology which HTC has built into all three HTC One phones. A few reviewers were not completely satisfied with the sharpness of the images, but they found that the HTC One outclassed all of its competition.
