T-Mobile discontinues white HTC Amaze 4G

T-Mobile’s newest HTC phone is already on its way out. The white HTC Amaze 4G was discontinued on February 14, but you can still pick one up from T-Mobile’s website, your local store or even Amazon (which currently has the best price). There’s no word from T-Mobile about the life expectancy of the black HTC Amaze 4G, but we don’t think it will be hanging on for much longer. We’re not sure how long inventory of the HTC Amaze 4G will last, but we have a feeling that T-Mobile’s end of life plans were set into motion to make room for the HTC One S which should be launching within the next six to eight weeks.

We first reported that the HTC Amaze 4G was nearing its end of life cycle (along with the HTC Sensation and myTouch 4G Slide) on January 30. We’re not sure when the other two phones will be discontinued, but we can’t see either of them living on after the launch of the HTC One S.

Do you think T-Mobile is making the right decision by discontinuing the HTC Amaze 4G or should they simply drop the handset’s price down to $149 once the HTC One S makes its debut on Magenta’s 4G network?
