The T-Mobile HTC Sensation 4G may not be getting its Android 4.0 update for another week or two, but that doesn’t mean Verizon’s HTC Rezound customers can’t find something to celebrate about. A Leaked image of Best Buy’s computer system shows Verizon is planning to release the Android 4.0 update for the HTC Rezound starting on Friday, April 6th. This means we only have six more days to go before the refreshing taste of the Ice Cream Sandwich update for HTC’s device stars flowing through Verizon’s LTE pipelines.
While it would have been nice for the HTC Rezound to be the first device on Verizon’s network to receive the update, Motorola’s DROID RAZR and RAZR MAXX will beat HTC to the prize by only two days. We want to be sore losers and shake our fist in the air at Motorola, but we’ll let this one slide in the spirit of the open platform that we all love.
Besides the delayed update for the Sensation 4G, HTC has been delivering on its promise of rolling out Android 4.0 to many of its phones. The HTC Rezound was not a huge seller for HTC or Verizon, but we’re sure that everyone who owns the handset will be more than pleased to receive the Android 4.0 update on April 6th.
