We’re known about the BeatBox Portable by Beats Audio for some time now, but it looks like AT&T is starting to promote the new wireless speaker system during American Idol. AT&T is using Jordan Sparks from Idol fame in one of the 30 second ads which (in our opinion) does a horrible job of showing off what the BeatBox Portable is capable of and why its pairing with the HTC Vivid is unique.
For those who don’t know, the Android 4.0 update for the HTC Vivid included Beat Audio integration which enhanced the phones music quality when listening with headphone or paired with a Beats by Dr. Dre speaker system. While the improved audio quality is not exclusive to the HTC Vivid (any other phone from HTC with Beats Audio integration can go the same), it is something that it unique to HTC phones.
The BeatBox is probably one of the most expensive wireless speaker systems you can come across, but we do know some people who claim its connectivity and docking options allow you to connect any device imaginable – and the sound isn’t half bad. You can purchase the BeatBox directly from AT&T for $399, but you can probably get it for a little cheaper somewhere else on the web.
