You can now add Virgin Mobile to the list of U.S. service providers expected to launch the HTC One. According to the latest reports, Virgin Mobile will launch the HTC One V in late spring for less than $200. The HTC One V is the entry level device in the HTC One series which features a single-core 1GHz processor 3.7-inch WVGA display, 512MB of RAM, 4GB of ROM, 5 megapixel camera with dedicated imaging sensor, Beats Audio, HTC Sense 4.0 and Android 4.0.3.
It may be a disappointment to see that Virgin Mobile will not be getting the HTC One X or the HTC One S which feature multi-core processors and high resolution displays, but the HTC One V fits perfectly into Virgin Mobile’s business strategy of offering cheaper phones which are purchased without a two year contract. The HTC One V will be the first Android 4.0 device on Virgin Mobile and arguably the best Android device they have ever offered to their customers.
Would any of you penny pinchers ever consider switching to Virgin Mobile for the HTC One V or would you need something a little more powerful even if it mean shelling out a lot more extra cash?
