HTC Golf – new Android phone comes to light through EXIF image data

If you’re not excited about the HTC One series, the HTC Golf may be right up your alley. Not much is known about the new Android powered phone except for its name and that it features a 3 megapixel camera. These HTC Golf details were revealed by EXIF data form a leaked image taken by the handset.

According to PocketNow, the HTC Golf may be a new entry-level handset which may be running on Android 4.0 and could feature specs which put it a bit ahead of last year’s HTC Wildfire S. Since the HTC One series revealed at Mobile World Congress a few weeks back did not include an entry-level handset, it would be safe to assume that the HTC Golf could fill that slot – but we’re not ready to call it at this point. The HTC Wildfire S featured a 5 megapixel camera and there’s always a chance that the 3 megapixel shooter on the HTC Golf may actually be a front-facing camera.

This is the very first time we’re hearing about the HTC Golf, but it will certainly not be the last. As soon as we hear more details about the phone, we’ll be sure to keep you updated. Do you think the HTC Golf will be an entry-level Android phone or will another flagship phone that HTC can use to gain back some market share from the competition?
