AT&T HTC Titan II launching on April 8th for $199

AT&T has finally revealed that the HTC Titan II will be available to customers on April 8th and will cost $199 with a new two-year contract. It’s been a little over two months since the phone was initially unveiled at CES.

Specifications on the HTC Titan II include a massive 4.7-inch Super LCD display (the same screen found of the HTC Sensation XL), a single-core 1.5 GHz processor, 512 MB of RAM, 16 GB of internal storage which you will most likely chew up pretty quickly with the phone’s 16 megapixel camera. If that’s not enough to impress you, the HTC titan II will also be the first Windows Phone in HTC’s lineup to feature LTE connectivity.

In order to keep the large display and fast processor running for hours on end, HTC has equipped the phone with a 1,730mAh battery. Android users may not be impressed with a battery of that size, but we’ve found that Windows Phone does a much better job of managing power consumption compared to Android.

If you have to have the latest and greatest device, the HTC Titan II may not fit your bill, but it should be appealing to general consumers who want a full-featured HTC device and love the simplicity of the Window Phone platform.
