HTC to unveil quad-core devices at MWC 2012

The Chinese newspaper, Commercial Times, has cited a JP Morgan Chase analyst, Alvin Kwok, who believes HTC will launch new quad-core, NVIDIA Tegra 3 powered devices at the upcoming Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain. The report also states that HTC will use the new Qualcomm LTE-enabled MSM 8960 SoC solution.  Kwok states:
HTC will maintain its lead against rivals by two months if it unveils Tegra 3- and MSM 8960-based smartphones in February and ships the models on time in April.
Despite the recent decline in HTC’s profits, Kwok believes that the company will see a 15% gain in sales in 2012 and 29% in 2013.  Mobile World Congress in February should be the first official confirmation of the devices code-named VilleEdge and we’re still hoping for something similar to the Zeta.  Let’s hope HTC announces additional devices to their smartphone lineup during the convention.

Do you think HTC will introduce any surprise devices during MWC?

 2. As much as I love my Snapdragon powered phone, I’m looking forward to see what HTC will do with Tegra 3 chips. MWC can’t come soon enough!

 3. I am setting on fire waiting for the next WMC 2012, and also I am so confident that HTC has a huge surprise for us.
