HTC Wildfire S now available from MetroPCS for $179

MetroPCS customers can finally buy an HTC made device. The regional carrier announced today that they are now offering the HTC Wildfire S to their customers for just $179. While the HTC Wildfire S isn’t the most advanced handset in HTC’s lineup, it does features a robust 600 MHz Qualcomm S2 processor, 3.2-inch HVGA display, 512 MB of RAM, 512 MB of ROM, Android 2.3 and HTC Sense.

The HTC Wildfire S has made some significant inroads among U.S. carriers over the past few months and can now be purchased from a variety of regional carriers and T-Mobile.  While MetroPCS only covers a few dozen markets across the country, their prices are typically very hard to beat.  Most of you will probably now even take a second look at the HTC Wildfire S, but we think it would make a great Christmas present for that uncle who just can’t seem to give up that handy flip phone he got five years ago.
